Potential solving mathematical problem students focused on self-directed learning in COVID-19 pandemic

The purpose of this research was to depict the mathematical skill high-school 1 Jeruklegi, 7th-grade students, who have been examined by their teaching in Cilacap Indonesia. This a descriptive qualitative analysis. outcomes self-directed learning problems, tests on problem resolution, and interviews collected data from research. use method triangulation. Students were divided into three classes based questionnaire's findings, namely students high, medium, low categories. A purposive sampling technique used determine subjects. Data test interview identify problem-solving abilities students. results study show that with high group able fulfill indicators understanding problem, compile solution plan, do calculations according check obtained. However, respondents only medium category, plan for completion, plan. Meanwhile, capable following standards complete steps understand issue formulate response
